The Balance between truth and falsehood

Imâm Sâlih bin Fawzân al-Fawzân

Question: Many of these groups and sects claim that they are following the straight path.

Answer: We have the balance. It’s not about merely claiming:

” Say (O Muhammad ): «O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you»” (3:64)

The matter is clear. Let’s get the balance:

“It is Allâh Who has sent down the Book (the Qur’ân) in truth, and the Balance (i.e. to act justly).” (42:17)

Let’s get the balance, which is the Qur’ân and the Sunnah. What is in accordance with the manhaj of Qur’ân and Sunnah is truth. What contradicts it is false:

“(And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allâh and His Messenger , if you believe in Allâh and in the Last Day.” (4:59)

“And in whatsoever you differ, the decision thereof is with Allâh (He is the ruling Judge).” (42:10)

Allâh has not left us with the words of people. He has given us the right path to follow.
