A beggar seeks help by the right of the Dhuhr prayer

Imâm Sâlih bin Fawzân al-Fawzân

Question: Today, after the Dhuhr prayer, a beggar got up and talked about his condition. Among other things, he said: “I am asking you by the right of this obligation (the Dhuhr prayer)”. Is this speech allowed?

Answer: Teach him and tell him that it is not allowed. Teach him not to ask for anything by the right of an obligation or anyone’s right. He should say that he is in need and that is sufficient.
