After a few days he returned to perform Tawâf-ul-Wadâ`

Imâm Sâlih bin Fawzân al-Fawzân

Question: What ruling applies if a resident of Tâ’if leaves (Makkah after performing the Hajj) without performing Tawâf-ul-Wadâ` (The farewell Tawâf) – and then returns after a few days and performs it?

Answer: If he leaves Makkah after performing the Hajj and comes to Tâ’if or any other place having not performed Tawâf-ul-Wadâ`, he must expiate by slaughtering – while his return (to perform Tawâf-ul-Wadâ`) does not benefit him. Should he return, that is of no benefit to him. He must expiate; instead of Tawâf-ul-Wadâ`, he will carry out the slaughter in Makkah – and distribute the meat to the poor.
