Question: When I advise those who take pictures, they say that there are different opinions about it. What rule applies when it comes to advice regarding the things about which there are different opinions?
Answer: We are not responsible to worship on the basis of different opinions – but on the basis of the evidence. If opponents have valid proof, we will gladly accept. If he however has no proof, the difference of opinion will be ignored. This rule applies to all things, not only to Tasweer (illustrations, sculptures, photography etc.).
