Should I emigrate alone or stay in the land of disbelief with my daughter?

Imâm Sâlih bin Fawzân al-Fawzân

Question: I live in a land of disbelief, where I have divorced a woman – with whom I have a daughter. I want to emigrate, but the mother of my daughter does not allow her to leave with me. The law in this country is on women’s side. What do you advise; should I emigrate – or stay with my daughter?

Answer: If you are going to stay to protect and raise your daughter, it’s an excuse to stay. If, however, you won’t be able to raise and guide her, you should emigrate by yourself.
