Question: Is slaughtering the Sacrifice obligatory upon those who are rich?
Answer: The Hanafees consider it obligatory upon those who do not find it difficult to do it. The majority, however, holds the opinion that slaughtering the Sacrifice is recommended.
Question: Is there a difference between those who perform the Hajj and others, in a way that it is obligatory for those who do not perform the Hajj?
Answer: For those who perform the Hajj, Hadee at-Tamattu` or Hadee al-Qirân (slaughter during the Hajj) is sufficient. As for those who don’t perform the Hajj, slaughtering the Sacrifice is recommended.
